We were delighted to be invited to visit Special Olympics Ireland at their state of the art headquarters in the Sports Ireland National Campus yesterday.

It was a proud day for P+D founder Jim Conway as he was presented with a framed medal to recognize the support from Jim and P+D to Special Olympics Ireland. Jim was presented this by Special Olympics Ireland CEO Karen Coventry. It now has pride of place in our head office in Tallaght.

It was amazing to meet with the incredible team working in this organization and learn more about their work. Many people think of the games and the elite athletes when they hear about Special Olympics Ireland. What struck us from the visit was the ground level impact they make in communities throughout small venues up and down the country working with over 7000 athletes. The opportunities and positive impact this organization and the volunteers provides Athletes transforming their lives through sport is hard to describe.
